Bespoke Rise and Fall Desk

Designed by Anka Bespoke, for Private Client, London.
2021

Our client came to us with a brief for a classically styled bespoke desk, to be finished in a high gloss piano black to link it to the existing style of the residence. They also requested a rise and fall mechanism to allow the client to work at both sitting and standing height.

The inhouse design team worked closely with the sales team and the private client to discuss options and details and to understand the clients needs and wishes for the piece. Working through numerous concepts and integrating key details such as bespoke drawer internals for printer and cable management to be housed. A series of design iterations were drawn and rendered for the client and Anka to discuss and hone in on the final design.

Once understood and confirmed the piece then moved in to the production development phase and into fabrication and finishing.

The piece was made from high grade materials to allow for a flawless finish. Final finished to the highest level with a white dyed sycamore inlay and black super high gloss finish, with a black glass work area and faux leather inlay to the drawers. The bespoke rise and fall mechanism was installed with the key pad hidden behind the central drawer front to be to allow the client to work at any height they wish.

Upon completion in the workshop (near bath) Anka Bespoke organised delivery and installation of the desk into the clients residence (study) and made sure everything was as intended.
